With Summer just around the corner you may be starting to think about your summer holiday! After the glorious summer weather we've had over the last few days, I've certainly been dreaming of lazy afternoons by the pool or on the beach, cocktail in hand! So in celebration of summer's impending arrival, I thought I would put together a little guide of some holiday destinations which are ideal for families... 

Cyprus

 Cyprus is a little island located in the Mediterranean sea . It is home to stretches of beautiful beaches and turquoise seas. Konnos Beach, to name just one, has crystal clear waters and fine golden sand. With boat trips on offer from many locations as well as the chance to scuba dive, this really would be an unforgettable trip. Cyprus has a long history and a rich culture and so there are many monuments, museums and  fascinating sights to explore too; the Makronissos Tombs, west of Agia Napa, for example.

Spain

You'll be completely spoilt for choice for places to visit in Spain. With their relaxing pace of life, stunning scenery, wonderful cuisine, shopping and rich history and culture this is one destination you'll want to revisit time and time again. The landscape is truly spectacular with hills and mountains, golden sands, vineyards and monuments! It's easy to find very cheap holidays to Spain, the hard part is deciding between each amazing area!

Portugal

Portugal boasts an amazing 3000 hours of sunshine each year and is home to 850km of beautiful beaches. There is a rich range of landscapes in Portugal from towering mountains to vast plains with plenty in between! There are plenty of activities for families with theme parks, sandy beaches, musuems and castles! The Musuem of Lourinha is well worth a visit for any dinosaur-loving family members as it has a fascinating palaeontological collection.With an array of nature resorts and reserves, your family will be able to enjoy a whole range of outdoor pursuits!
